If you’re a fan of Oriental gardens, then you’d really want to play Secret Garden. It’s a fantasy-themed virtual world; you wake up finding yourself in a secret forest that looks similar to feudal villages you find depicted in movies in pre-colonial Asia. That’s the world you’ll be living in now, and it’s up to you to develop that patch of land you’ve been given.

Thus, your adventure begins. You’re not alone in this endeavor, of course. You have your trusty aide to help you out, to teach you what to do!

The game begins with a tutorial that teaches you the basics. You’ll be taught how to build structures, and how to find the raw materials that are needed for the construction. Everything that you need is found around you, but you have to understand what each tree gives you, what the pool can give you, and what you can do with your farm, among others.

The tutorial gives you your first few quests, but after the tutorial ends, the game continues to give you a hand on your journey by giving you more quests. Simply click on the icons on the left side of the screen, and you can see what other tasks you can do to move forward in the game.

Clicking on those icons will show you a list of jobs, as well as buttons to seek “Help” or to Skip the mission entirely. Clicking on Help will show you where you need to go: if you need to collect a certain resource, clicking that button will highlight the source of that raw material. On the other hand, if you need to go to a structure and navigate its menu, clicking on Help will open that menu for you and highlight what you need to do there.

Skipping on Quests will result to you not receiving the rewards, i.e. in-game cash and experience points.

Collecting enough experience points will level you up. Gaining levels will unlock a lot of stuff for you, including new recipes for cooking and new structures to be built.

Unique to Secret Garden is the concept of the Abandoned House. You can renovate this abandoned house, and use it to earn additional in-come. First, you’ll need to build a kitchen and cook a certain recipe. You then place it in a table inside the Abandoned House and wait for it to sell the food, and earn income after a certain amount of time.

You can decorate the House as well so it looks unique and truly your own.
